How much does flooring installation cost in Los Angeles?
Hardwood installation typically runs $8 to $15 per square foot installed, depending on the wood species and subfloor condition. LVP runs $6 to $11 per square foot installed. Laminate is generally $5 to $9 per square foot. Epoxy garage coatings depend on garage size and coating system. We provide exact pricing after the in-home estimate — not ranges that shift once the job starts.
How long does flooring installation take?
Most residential flooring projects are completed in 3 to 5 days. Larger homes or projects with significant subfloor prep take longer. Epoxy garage floors are typically done in 2 days. We confirm the timeline during the in-home estimate.
Do I need to move out during installation?
In most cases, no. Many flooring projects can be completed while you continue living in your home. We’ll walk through the details during your in-home estimate and help plan the installation in a way that minimizes disruption. If any part of the project requires special planning, we’ll communicate that clearly ahead of time so there are no surprises.
Can you install flooring over my existing floors?
It depends on the existing material and condition. In some cases, installing over existing flooring is fine. In others — especially where there’s moisture damage, unevenness, or height transition issues — it’s better to remove the old material first. We assess this during the in-home visit and give you an honest recommendation.
Can hardwood floors be refinished instead of replaced?
Usually yes — and it’s almost always cheaper than replacement. Most solid hardwood floors can be sanded and refinished multiple times. Engineered hardwood can typically be refinished once or twice depending on the veneer thickness. We’ll tell you during the estimate whether your floors are good candidates.
Do you install flooring as part of a larger remodel?
Yes. Flooring is included in most of our kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodels. If you’re doing a larger project with ARM, flooring is coordinated and sequenced as part of the build — you don’t need a separate contractor.
